Every single day children and young people are interacting with the road and traffic system either as a passenger, pedestrian, cyclist or driver. HPR in partner with IMCCFAIR initiated road safety campaign and teaching sessions in secondary and driving schools aims to reduce mortality and morbidity related to road traffic crashes by preparing and equip this vulnerable road user group with the knowledge, skills and positive attitudes that will enable them to stay safe.
School representative of GS Kimironko 2 said “Many of the accidents and injury happening on the roads worldwide are preventable. We all have a social responsibility to ensure that the road is a safe environment for all road users. I would like to thank HPR to choose us among different high schools in Kigali to be a part of these teaching session we hope that by keep learning this and share what we have learn to the community road traffic fatality and injury rates will be reduced in Rwanda and remember there is still room for further improvement.
Let road safety be a responsability of each and every one. Change in the mind set of riders and drivers and road users realizing their responsibilities alone will bring about a change.
