Fighting challenge through  palliative care for someone with breast cancer ”

​Breast cancer is abnormal proliferation of breast tissue. Statistics showed that worldwide breast cancer is the most frequent cancer among women where 2.1 millions of women each year are affected and It also accounts for 15% of cancer deaths among women.
 In Rwanda 54 out  of 100,000 will develop cancers in given five-years period but rates seem to be rising because breast cancer data is getting more accurate or declines in infectious are allowing women to live longer die of such as cancer.

Health people Rwanda in partner with IMCC FAIR is always campaigning to raise awareness of first aid and road safety because It has found that is a good way to provide people with basic knowledge because even the most simple skills can save a life and also knowing about road safety like follow traffic rules and signs will reduce mortality and mortality related to road traffic accidents.
On Wednesday HPR conducted campaign where students from health club trained by HPR volunteers on previous teaching session showed entire schools what they have learnt.  ​

​Since May 2016 Kigali city organised event called “Kigali Car free Day” which become event that occur twice a month in our city. Every first and third Sunday of  the month has be designated as a day where city residents park their cars to engage in sports, meet their neighbours whilst they protect the environment because of reduced car emissions. It is also aim to promote healthy lifestyle for the residents of Kigali, the City authorities have introduced mass sports and exercises, to encourage people to walk, jog as well as ride bicycles..

On this Friday At Groupe scolaire APRED NDERA at 3:30Pm, Health People Rwanda (HPR)  has held Campaign At Groupe Scolaire APRED NDERA.The  event was attended  by  students, staff members of the school and head master of the schools. the campaign shared tips on preventive measures in avoiding road accidents and casualties and focused  also on first aid  where the students from health club trained by HPR showed others students what they have learned by giving session on road safety and performing first aid demonstartion. ​Around 2PM, on the 1st October 2018, HPR volunteers have had a Campaign at Groupe Scolaire Ste Famille.
This is via the Road safety and First Aid Project through which we are in partnership IMCC FAIR.
During this Campaign, around six hundred and ten students including their teachers were present where HPR volunteers and student from health club ( The ones we used to train in previous teaching sessions) raised awareness about road safety and First Aid.

This week the Health People Rwanda has held a teaching sessions in high schools around Kigali city to help students from Groupe Scolaire Ndera and Groupe Scolaire Camp Kanombe to learn about Road Safety at early age and that this can lead to safer bahaviours in later and They have also Learn about CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation: This involves giving someone chest compressions and rescue breaths to keep their heart and circulation going. If they start breathing normally again, stop CPR and put them in the recovery position.
